sockIt’s not tot late to get your “SOCK IT TO MISSIONS” sock!  Once you receive it, don’t forget to fill the sock with a quarter a day for the Annie Armstrong Easter offering for the months of January, February, and March 2014.    You are encouraged to give “SOCK IT TO MISSIONS” above your regular offering.  If you participate each person will give an additional $22.50 to the Home Missions Annie Armstrong offering!  Just think about the many people who will hear about Jesus because of your gifts!  The collection day will be April 6th. We will place our socks at the foot of the cross in the worship center.

Please join us for our World Hunger Luncheon on Sunday, February 2nd following the 11:00 morning worship service.  The meal is simple – soup and cornbread.  The food will be provided but we ask that you donate the amount of money you would spend if you were to go out for lunch that day.

Six million children under the age of five die every year as a result of hunger?

Of the 6.2 billion people in today’s world, 1.2 billion live on less that $1.00 per day?

Approximately four million children under 12 go hungry in the United States?

9.6 million additional children are at risk of being hungry.

More than 840 million people in the world are malnourished?

Please join us in the fight again world hunger!

It’s time to pull out the lawn chairs and jackets for our annual Outdoors in October.  Please join us at 5:45 each Sunday evening for light refreshments and fellowship.  We will have a time of praise and worship following by a message.  We are having soup on October 6th,  followed by homemade ice cream on the 13th, on October 20th we’ll enjoy finger foods and on October 27th we’ll have soup to warm us when it’s chili outside.

It’s not too early to begin shopping!  The boxes will be available September 29th.  Our dedication and turn in date is October 27th.

More than 650,000 children in over 65 nations have made decisions for Christ through the discipleship and evangelism program of Operation Christmas Child.

PRAY:  The journey of every shoebox gift is guided by prayer.  Ask God to prepare the hearts of children to experience His love through Operation Christmas Child and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
